Bill Clinton forbade the carrying of guns on military bases and ships and Israelis became baffled by News of Defenseless US Soldiers. Fort Hood is an arguable result if this declaration and the Congressmen who support it.
“I prefer dangerous liberty to peaceful servitude,” Thomas Jefferson
Many Israelis want to know, why didn’t the soldiers attacked by a U.S. Army-Major turned terrorist return fire? In Israel when a Muslim attempts similar acts they are often shot dead before he can take lives within seconds of screaming “Allah Akbar.” In contrast with the Israeli experience, it took 10 minutes before a civilian police officer at Fort Hood was able to shoot and stop Muslim fanatic Nidal Malik Hasan.
How could that happen? How could soldiers trained in modern warfare be held defenseless?
The answer may astonish Americans, the victims were unarmed. U.S. soldiers are not allowed to carry guns for personal protection, even on a 340-acre base quartering more than 50,000 troops. Fort Hood is a “gun free” zone, via the regulations adopted in one of the very first acts signed into law by the anti-gun agenda of President Bill Clinton, congressional supporters, and other liberal activist on March, 1993. Read the facts for yourself.
Facts: in addition to soldiers, Israeli teachers are also armed suggesting a version of the Virginia Tech slaughter highly unlikely in an Israeli university. Israelis have had to combat terrorism most their lives, and are conditioned to not fear the carrying ore using of firearms. They are an armed people, ready, willing, and able to defend themselves and their country. Unlike some indoctrinated Americans, paralyzed by fear and political correctness, Israelis understand that people, not guns, kill people.
