boston-tea-partyComment on this letter from the Editor, The Tea Party Pledge

Wednesday I witnessed a sight that rattled my patriotism and reminded me of small meetings in quiet alleys when the word freedom was only whispered. The Tea Party gatherings were the collective outrage of our constituents. It was the first time in my thirty four years I believed change could come. My wish is that we can take that unyielding scream for action and rise from our knees and renew our conviction that our voices will not fall to silence. No great reward comes without sacrifice and no great cause can witness its full potential without reason. We all gathered for something, most of which was scattered ideas and hope for change. I offer this one unifying PLEDGE to bring those gatherings into an undeniable protest for reform. Let us build on momentum and move forward. Join PledgeAmerica.org and don’t let April 15th 2009 just be a day men gathered, but a day that changed the face of America and brought its Government back in control of its people. I have faith, Yes We Can. Let us now, this day, fight and carry forward the battle to wake our constituents and rise in victory with the valor of those who have died to give us these rights. Let there be a calling, writers be heard, artist be born, congressman be not afraid, citizens be free, today, be the day voices be screamed, and those who deny this strength be afraid. For this day we are on the mountain tops, in the streets, quiet alleys, stadiums, and in every corner of this great country, not whispering in fear but yelling a yelp that will be heard round the world. Join me brother, and make your pledge.
