A Care Package contains tailored gift certificates for the family and its members and range from $500 to $5000.
Each package must total $500 and are funded by a collection of small donations, or by a member supporting a package for a selected package amount of a $500 minimum. Those donators can choose that family to receive the package or choose all certificates for an anonymous family.
Each family's package value is based on the number of family members and other optional participating requirements (commenting and interacting on the Packages blog page, suggesting a family, and other optional criteria.)
The package contains a minimum of one gift certificate tailored to the Hero's spouse, child, and pet (salon, golfing, arcade, pet grooming, etc.), multiple certificates for the needs of the family (groceries, home improvement, clothing, etc.) and family certificates (movies, vacation, restaurants, entertainment, etc.).
Members have the option to choose the genre (type) of gift certificate they are donating, Branch of service, and other custom choices.
When a family is registered the person registering has the option to suggest which certificates the family should receive, support a full package over $500 and choose that family to receive the package or choose all certificates for an anonymous family, and or manage a package and be in charge of Blog moderation and building the package for their suggested family by asking others to enter the code for the package they are managing when they donate. |
